The Lounge - more introverted, more melancholic, simply different.
What began as a corona-related emergency solution developed into a mammoth project. Fueled by mixing veteran and producer Jörg Völker, the six musicians from Bamberg, Germany, created 8 acoustic reinterpretations of songs from their energetic live set in several recording sessions. The response from the audience after three living room concerts encouraged them to go one step further. In the end it was clear: this has to be on vinyl!
Whether it's ONE MORE NIGHT, which transforms from a riff monster to an outlaw anthem, RAINSTAR, which suddenly comes along with a swing rhythm and barbershop vocals, or ROADRUNNER, which leaves the funk behind and becomes a piano-supported ballad - the songs give everyone the opportunity to find themselves somewhere in some situation in life.
The Lounge combines Slam Elephant's love of instrumental experimentation with tangible emotions and pure authenticity.

T-Shirt/Shirt
Wanna wear a sexy shirt to our upcoming album release? Here we go!
The front print "The Slammin' Elephant" has been designed by our friend Sven Oppel,
who did and still does a great work to support our release.
In the background of the picture you can see the "Sandstraße", which is the place where parties can be found in our hometown Bamberg.
Do you find our little Easter Egg?
Our favorite club "Sound n' Arts" in the heart of the city had to close Its doors some years ago. This was THE place to get a listen to some subculture live-concerts back in the days.
We thought about to leave it a legacy on our shirt.
You can expect to receive a high-quality and fair-traded Shirt,
produced by Deviate Industries, Leipzig
Verse:
Here he comes again
That fool from down the road
A dreamer, a seeker, a keeper of solitude He wants it all
He’s standing tall
and he’s hungry for that something more
PreChorus:
And now he’s struggling to survive Creating his own paradise
And started giving just a damn Leaving your demise
Chorus:
He’s a young man
His eyes reveal the calming truth He’s gone through changes
In the shade of night he drifts away
And It seemed the wrong way as he didn’t care anymore And who are you to decide in the wisdom of your gratitude
Verse:
Oh see him walking
The old man from the other side
A dreamer, a seeker, keeper of solitude He has it all
And he’s standing tall
And he's feasting on his something more
PreChorus:
Yeah, he was struggling to survive Creating his own paradise
He started giving just a damn Leaving your demise
Chorus:
He’s an old man
His eyes reveal the calming truth He’s gone through changes
In the morning light he comes alive
And It was the right way as he didn’t care anymore
And who are you to decide in the wisdom of your gratitude
in the wisdom of your gratitude
Solo
Chorus:
He’s an old man
His eyes reveal the calming truth He’s gone through changes
In the morning light he comes alive
And It was the right way
As he didn’t care anymore
And who are you to decide
In the wisdom of your gratitude
Verse:
Welcome, welcome to the circus
welcome to the masquerade
No more warnings now, we’re ready for you Dressed up and out of control
Verse:
You'll see the fire burnin’ higher
You'll feel the flames are spreadin’ wider I'm gonna be your lovin’ man
Your savin’ man for one more night
Soft Verse:
I'm still alive
I'm still unbroken
I’m gonna be your lovin man
Just give me one more night baby cause I'm still unbroken And I'm still alive
For one more night
Verse:
Hey yeah, what are you lookin for?
Hey you, you little girl from down below.
Everybody, is staring right into your eyes,
feel the heat, bewitch the masses of mankind.
Verse:
Hey yeah, what are you looking for?
Hey you, you little girl from down below.
Now everybody, is staring right into your eyes, feel the heat, bewitch the masses of mankind.
Chorus:
Be my fuel, my gasoline
Be my dirty little motor queen
Be my fuel, my gasoline
Keep my dirty little motor clean
Verse (Funky):
Uh yeah, my motors runnin’ wild
My engine starts in overdrive
A little boy who begs for mercy down your thighs he falls under your mystic spell
Verse:
Now I was standing at the edge of our deception
Just empty words in hollowing reflections.
Now “Follow me”, she said to please our both desire Oh Feel it coming on, yeah feel it coming on
Chorus:
Be my fuel, my gasoline
Be my dirty little motor queen
Be my fuel, my gasoline
Keep my dirty little motor clean
Vers (Funky):
Now when I feel sad and lonely on the road and distant winds begin to sing I hear an echo of your soothin’ words
the desert’s right for loving, baby
Verse (Solo):
Oh woman: Let me taste your gasoline!
Chorus:
Be my fuel, my gasoline
Be my dirty little motor queen
Be my fuel, my gasoline
Keep my dirty little motor clean
